Rivet version 2.8.0
is now available. This release introduces the Rivet sticker library, adjusts dropdown styling, and fixes various bugs.
Rivet sticker library #
This release introduces the Rivet sticker library.
Stickers are decorative graphics used to visually enhance a message or idea. Stickers are commonly used within hero components, card lists, and callouts to add visual interest and help the user more quickly comprehend a page’s content.
Developers can copy or download all available stickers through the Rivet sticker library. Stickers are also included in the Rivet UI kit (Figma design library).
Icon library update #
The Rivet icon library has been updated to version 3.0.0
.
This new version aligns the implementation of the rvt-icon
element with the new rvt-sticker
element.
Previous versions of the icon library will continue to work, but we recommend you update to the latest version of the icons at your earliest convenience.
Dropdown focus indicator styling #
The blue highlight around the currently focused item in a dropdown has been updated to appear only when a person navigates the dropdown using a keyboard.
This change is intended to help make the dropdown interaction clearer to people using a mouse, as there will not be both a focus highlight and a hover highlight appearing at the same time.
Bug fixes #
This release fixes the following bugs:
- Fixed issue with spacing utilities not working with rows containing loose or tight columns
- Fixed styling of series nav component when showing only a link to the previous entry
- Updated prose utility to not erroneously hide images, line breaks, and other void elements
- Updated dialog to ignore hidden elements when determining focusable children
